Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of YourHabitBuddy. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

The service

YourHabitBuddy is a social habit-tracking platform. You can log habits, join timed challenges, connect with buddies, and share progress according to visibility settings you control. Features may change as we improve the product.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be old enough to use the service in your jurisdiction (at least 13, or older where required).
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use & community standards

YourHabitBuddy has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We do not allow harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content involving minors, illegal activity, spam, or content that is otherwise harmful or offensive.

You agree not to:

  • Harass, abuse, impersonate, or threaten others.
  • Post unlawful, harmful, misleading, or sexually explicit content.
  • Attempt to access accounts or systems without authorization.
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service except as permitted by law.
  • Use the service for spam or unauthorized commercial solicitation.

We may remove content, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users who violate these rules. Users can report objectionable content and block abusive users in the app. We review reports and act on confirmed violations within 24 hours.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (logs, comments, profile details). You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the service, consistent with your visibility settings. You represent that you have the rights to the content you share.

Health & wellness disclaimer

YourHabitBuddy is for general habit tracking and social support. It is not medical, mental health, or professional advice. Consult qualified professionals for health decisions. Use challenges and goals at your own pace and judgment.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOURHABITBUDDY AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.

Termination & account deletion

You may stop using the service at any time. You can permanently delete your account and associated data from Profile → Overview → Delete account & data in the app (type DELETE to confirm). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply in your country of residence.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
